Speeding Train and The Rising Death

Earth In Focus Photography CompetitionConservation

A sloth bear and her two cubs cautiously cross the Ballarshah–Gondia railway line through Lohara–Junona Forest, one of India’s deadliest railways for wildlife. Since 2017, at least 125 wild animals have been killed. This photograph is a reminder that development must include wildlife, with urgent mitigation to protect this vital corridor.
