Airlifted
A polar bear being transported via a helicopter from a holding facility (aka “polar bear jail”) to a release spot in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. When a polar bear enters the “control zone”, conservation officers attempt to scare it away. If that fails, and if it posed an immediate threat, the bear is immobilized and relocated to the polar bear holding facility. It was informational to see and learn about polar bear management in Churchill.
