Life Emerging in a Tiny 2mm Shell
Hidden among moss-covered branches in the rain-soaked forests of the Western Ghats, these translucent Amboli Bush Frog eggs reveal tiny embryos developing within. Capturing this intimate moment required patience and care to avoid disturbing their fragile surroundings. Illuminated by soft light, the eggs appeared to glow against the protective moss, offering a rare glimpse into the beginning of life. Yet this beauty carries an urgent message. Critically endangered, the Amboli Bush Frog faces increasing threats from habitat loss, urbanisation, and pollution. This photograph celebrates nature’s delicate beginnings while reminding us of our responsibility to protect these vulnerable species.
